March - National Women's History Month
March is the official month to celebrate women's contributions to history and society. I can't think of a better time to celebrate Jennifer Hollister and Jennifer Kuntz's milestone anniversaries in real estate than now. These ladies have contributed a combined 40 years towards building a real estate business that empowers team members to succeed at extraordinary levels. They have inspired and mentored so many people and I am honored to take this opportunity to share the story of how this dynamic duo came together. In 1998, Jennifer Hollister became a full-time REALTOR. Prior, she was the Marketing Director for award winning builder, Yingst Homes. Ten years later, as the real estate market crashed, Jennifer Kuntz began working with Hollister at the Homestead Group Realty. Kuntz was a stay-at-home mom, working from home in marketing. The two met in 2003 when Kuntz visited an open house that Hollister was hosting. Kuntz said, “Other agents were ignoring us at open houses. Jen was the first agent to ask us if we knew about the home buying process.” She offered to help us, and we bought our first home with her in our early twenties. In 2008, Hollister and Kuntz got together over lunch and talked about what a career in real estate would look like. While they were talking, they learned that they both went to Bloomsburg University and they both had April birthdays, just a decade apart. The parallels that really resonated for them were in their values. Both are extremely hard workers, compassionate and believe in teamwork. Hollister told Kuntz, “Be on time, return your phone calls, be honest. If you don’t know the answer, go find it. And, always put the client first. Everything else will follow.” Basically, be a good human and have integrity. When they first started working together, Hollister shared her vision, mission, and values with Kuntz. Hollister had always dreamt of creating an elite, integrated team that is ethical and kind and would deliver exceptional service. Having a decade of client referral business and representing new homes, even though the market had crashed, these two had plenty of work. Being coached by the industry’s top coaches has been a cornerstone of their business. Once they understood the mechanics of building the business of selling real estate, they created The Jennifers LLC in 2015. This was the year they officially launched the Jennifer Hollister Group, a team of like-minded professionals who followed a set of clear standards and craved accountability to succeed together at levels greater than they had ever reached as individual agents. Within a couple of years, JHG had soared to the top of the America’s Best List published by Real Trends magazine. In 2022, not only were they ranked #31 in the state of PA among all real estate teams in PA, they won Simply the Best Real Estate Team for the second consecutive year. They firmly believe that delivering exceptional service has been their greatest strength. These two women, both natives of the greater Harrisburg area, have families with school aged children. They believe in showing gratitude for all the blessings in their lives despite any circumstances. The biggest blessing has been the relationships created through helping people to buy, sell and invest in real estate. These connections make every effort worth it. Cheers to Jennifer Hollister and Jennifer Kuntz on their milestone anniversaries and all they have accomplished!
